  1. Meditation: The more our mind focuses on something that is not too pleasant, the more our imagination will blow things out of proportion. This causes a lot of uncalled for stress of things that might happen but never do, or things that seem to have no solution, but they usually do. You need to clear your mind, and meditation does that. There are lots of meditation apps you can download to guide you slowly into meditation if you’ve never tried it.
  2. Improve eating habits: A poor diet can make you feel sluggish and moody. Prepare you supper the day before so you don’t come home to an empty fridge and just eat the first thing in sight. Eating healthy will better prepare you to handle stress as you’ll feel more energized.
  3. Exercise: There’s no way around it. You need exercise. It doesn’t matter what your fitness level is, but your body has to move. Practice some simple exercises at home every day and eventually you will develop a routine.
