If you were asked to describe your ideal city in three words, what will those three words be? Would it be fun, refreshing, and exciting? Or, would you prefer a city that is warm, a little bit mundane yet secure? Or maybe, you would prefer a mixture of both and experience the best of both worlds. Say, a city that is exciting, secure, and promising!
Did I hit the right note there?
Indeed, a city that is exciting, secure, and promising sounds like a dream – a dream that you would want to live in, of course. Luckily, that kind of city isn’t all fantasy. In fact, we have a few cities that can live up to those potentials right here in the US! One of them is the lovely city of Pittsburgh – a city that is secure and brimming with excitement; one that holds promising morrows and opportunities.
But really, what is it like living in Pittsburgh?
Let’s answer this question using the three words we’ve (I’m assuming you agree with me) chosen above.
1. Pittsburgh as an Exciting Place
Let me ask you, what is your definition of excitement?
Is it feeling all giddy inside when something new happens? Is it thinking about what may happen tomorrow? Or, is it the anxious yet restless feeling of never knowing what’s going to happen next? Well, for us, excitement is all of those things and more. Excitement is when you open an assorted jelly bean pack and not knowing what kind of flavors you’re about to pop into your mouth. Excitement is when your wife gets pregnant and you still don’t know whether your first-born is a boy or a girl. Lastly, excitement is when you order a mystery box on eBay for $9.95 eagerly waiting and wondering how much exactly your ten dollars can give you. At the very least, we hope your luck gets you a decent shirt or cool action figures.
This feeling of not knowing what you’re feeling is what excitement is all about. You’re scared yet happy, anxious yet anticipating of what’s to come. It is seldom to find a city that makes you feel like this. After all, most cities are so dull and mundane that everyday feels like yesterday. Nothing new happens. Nothing big happens.
Thank goodness we have Pittsburgh.
In Pittsburgh, everyday literally is a brand-new day. There’s always something to look forward to. And while the city remains traditional to its practices and customs, they have this certain way of jiving things up. Christmas in Pittsburgh, for example, is breathtaking. Every year, they host exciting and innovative events that attract many visitors from all over the world. They also celebrate other local events where the festivities are never-ending. This liveliness also attracts many businesses and investors to the Pittsburgh marketplace – making the city not only fun but economically stable as well. 2. Pittsburgh on Security
Another thing we all look for in a city is security. I mean, who would want to live in a place that is unsecure? Would anyone ever even consider living in such a place? Even in Greek Mythology, the City of Thebes was feared because of its dangerous environment. The only people who would consider living in a not-so peaceful place are those who are up to mischief themselves! As they say, birds of the same feathers always flock together. Don’t you agree?
Security may be viewed in two different aspects. One is physical security. A city that has low crime rates or few cases of robbery, theft, harassment, and other more serious crimes is considered physically secured or safe. This means that you can go out of your house without a gun or a Taser while living in this city – although we do suggest bringing a Taser or a pepper spray at least to use for self-defense. The world is a dangerous place and you know it. The least you can do to keep yourself and your family protected is to choose the safest city you can possibly find. Also, you must consider the financial or economical security of the city you’re planning to move into. Are there enough jobs? Can you find everything you need within the city? Do they have convenient facilities such as schools, libraries, hospitals, and one-stop clinics? A city’s economic prosperity is almost always reflected in its territory. If you want to live conveniently, choosing a city that is economically stable right off the bat is the wisest choice you can ever make. A city like Pittsburgh, per se.
3. Pittsburgh as a Haven of Promising Opportunities
If your criteria in choosing a city include business opportunities, then Pittsburgh may just be the perfect city for you. The city is booming when it comes to business and trade, with several hundred new businesses opening annually. This makes the city of Pittsburgh look like candy in the eyes of businessmen and entrepreneurs who are hungry for new opportunities. Many types of businesses from all sorts of industries gather in Pittsburgh. From retail to manufacturing companies and offline to online businesses like Pittsburgh SEO, the city is a haven for all who seek growth and success.
So, if you’re someone who’s planning to move into a new city soon, the City of Pittsburgh may just satisfy everything that you need in a place. It’s like the best of all things have gathered in one place. The city is exciting, so you don’t really have to be worried about getting bored or running out of things to do. There is plenty of nature (and plenty of civilization too) for you to inhale and enjoy. There are also many entertainment facilities, from cinemas to theme parks and resorts. The festivities are ongoing all-year round too. When it comes to security, Pittsburgh is also second to none. They have some of the best officers to maintain peace and order in the city.
Now, if this ain’t promising, then I don’t know what is.
