Unusual Weight Loss or Gain
Changes in weight can be an indicator of depression, and it may tie in with your own unique symptoms. Usually active people who withdraw from activities may experience weight gain, whereas others who suffer sever lack of motivation may begin skipping meals and lose weight. A change in appetite is also common, and this will naturally lead to changes in weight.
The way you feel about yourself can be sign of depression, especially if these thoughts become more negative. Many sufferers report feelings of worthlessness or failure. This can also manifest in feelings of guilt, or thoughts that nothing good ever happens to you. In more sever cases, you may begin feeling that people would be better off without you around, or that life isn’t worth living. These are all signs that you could be experiencing depression.
Changes in your sleep patterns can be a sign of depression, whether it be difficulty sleeping or over-sleeping. Many people struggle to sleep at night, leading to feelings of tiredness or a desire to sleep during the day.
Feeling Tired and Run-Down
Constantly feeling tired and run-down could be a sign of depression. While several other health conditions can also cause these symptoms, if you’re experiencing unusual tiredness with no other identifiable cause, you may be suffering depression.
