We’re less than 2 months away from summer and that means vacations are-a-comin’!
If you’re planning on getting out during this upcoming sunny season but don’t know where to go in the United States, we’ve got you covered.
Below, our team walks you through what we think are the 5 best places to visit in the US between the months of June and August.
1. New York City, New York
What can we say about New York that hasn’t already been said… Probably nothing.
This city has been the subject of movies, songs, and dreams for a number of years. Truly, there is no place like it on earth.
Whether you spend your summer sampling pizza in this city’s many boroughs or spend it playing checkers underneath a tree in Central Park, you can’t go wrong by visiting this world-class town!
2. Marysville, Washington
We’re going to contrast our obvious pick of New York with the much less obvious pick of Marysville, Washington.
If you’ve never heard of Marysville, we don’t blame you. It’s not a town you’ll see on too many best places to visit in the US lists, and that’s a shame.
Marysville boasts sweeping nature landscapes, incredible people and an old town feel that may lead you to want to call this quaint town home. Learn more about places to live in Marysville and consider passing through next time you’re in the Northwest.
3. Maui, Hawaii
Maui is the most quintessential travel/vacation destination in the United States. That comes as no surprise to us given the island’s crystal blue waters and incredible opportunities to get up close and personal with nature.
Sure, Maui is one of our more expensive best places to visit in the US picks due to the fact that tourism is rampant across all of Hawaii’s Islands. Still, if you haven’t stepped foot on this island before, we recommend setting your reservations aside and flying over.
You just might find yourself feeling a little happier by the time you return.
4. Las Vegas, Nevada
We’ve been all over the world and while many cities have tried to copy Las Vegas’ signature mix of sinful fun and sleeplessness, nobody has come close (not even Dubai despite its best efforts).
In Las Vegas, you can watch a Broadway-caliber show, eat at the best restaurants on earth and sleep at a 5-star hotel all under the same roof!
If that doesn’t entice you to make a pilgrimage to this mirage in the desert, nothing will.
5. Orlando, Florida
Disney world… Need we say more?
Orlando hosts some of the best theme parks in the world and boasts darn good weather throughout most of the year. Whether you head to this city with your family or make a friend-trip out of it, you’re sure to have a blast in this incredible city.
