Do you ever feel like you’re an old soul trapped in a millennial’s body? I mean, there should really be a psychological diagnosis for that. If there were, I would volunteer to have myself examined, really. Something about the previous centuries simply intrigues me. Every time I’m surrounded by old things, my soul feels at is. It’s as if there is beauty and tranquillity in everything that’s from the past. It fills you with nostalgia, excitement, happiness, loneliness, and all sorts of other feelings. There’s just something about vintage items that really connect with me and if you feel exactly the same, then I guess we’re on the same boat.
This is why I try to surround myself with vintage thing-a-ma-bobs however way I can. I even occasionally dress as if I’m in some 70’s show or something. In a way, surrounding and adorning myself with things that remind me of yesteryears make me really happy. If this is something you would want for yourself, then maybe you should start collecting old school items too.
One thing that I’m particularly happy and proud about is being able to get my hands on a full-sized arcade machine.
What can I say? I may be an adult but I’m always a kid at heart. But rather than play the games of the day, my old soul would always take me back to the fun days I’ve had as a kid. During the late 90’s when computers were big and bulky and middle-class families had no way of affording one, we youngsters hit arcades to play games. And unlike the graphic and often violent online games children play nowadays, arcade games were fun, strategic, and tactical. It wasn’t about bloody fights or randomly charging in to shoot bullets everywhere. Arcade games challenges you to use logic, discern patterns, and make sense out of those patterns (read more about this in this website). It was all fun and innocent play.
Don’t get me wrong, though. I still play to this day. I tried out all the popular games on Xbox and PlayStation. I even bring a PSP with me to work so that I can use my idle time to level up and gain exp. I’ve played Assassin’s Creed, GTA, GOW, Final Fantasy, and many others. However, in my heart, nothing beats the old Mario brothers, Donkey Kong, Pacman, and Tekken. I guess that at the end of the day, you can take a kid from the arcade but you can never take the arcade out of the kid. Classic games are really fun to play; you just got to admit it.
If you want to experience this unique gaming experience all over again, then why not start by buying your very own full-size arcade machine to put in your home? Surely, you have a room or an allotted space for leisure activities. An arcade machine is definitely a great addition to your hobby center at home. If you’re worried about the price, don’t worry. Look it up on Amazon and you can find amazing deals for great games. Anyway, if you can afford to buy the latest PlayStation console and buy new game CDs every month or so, then you can definitely afford an arcade machine. You can save up for it too if the budget won’t allow it at this time!
Anyway, here are more reasons to immerse yourself in the world of classic arcade gaming all over again:
- An Arcade Machine Is Sure To Step-Up The Fun Inside Your Home
Yes, nothing beats classic gaming – especially if you can bring the fun home. Just imagine a Saturday night with the family. You eat a scrumptious meal at the table, talk it out and update yourselves with each other’s lives, and you go up to the house’s activity center to get some fun rolling! An arcade machine may just be a simple addition to your home but it’s definitely something that can help you bring the family together for some healthy competition. Make siblings compete for the highest score or have them duel each other and allot a prize for the winner. The prize can be anything really – from an extra helping of dessert or a plane ticket to Bali! Just make sure that you fill the room with good old fun! - If You Have Enough Machines, You Can Throw An Arcade Party Every Once In A While
Collecting these game machines may just well be on your bucket list – especially when you like hosting house parties or having friends over! Instead of just drinking and watching Netflix during house visits, why not liven up the party with some great games! Oh, and I’m not just talking about party games. I’m talking about all-out retro gaming wherein players can play alongside or against each other. If you have games like Donkey Kong or Pacman, you can definitely make it a contest for the highest score. Prepare an evil dare for the loser – that would bring out the competitive spirit in everyone!
- If You Own A Business, A Game Machine Will Definitely Encourage More Customers To Stop By
Some businesses just lack entertainment, you know? And while some do have some interesting gimmicks here and there, it’s hardly what you’d call “engaging.” I think that having something as fun as an arcade game machine in your place of business will liven up the place – especially if you’re running a food place or a refreshment store. Trust me; it will certainly be a new hangout for kids and kids at heart. It’s also a good way to earn extra dimes too. If you are thinking of adding a retro touch, why not go all out and add a jukebox machine as well? A blast from the past! That’s definitely a place I’d want to visit.
Well, have lots of fun!
