Are you ready to do what it takes to enjoy better health this year? Perhaps you’re not enjoying the best of health right now, or maybe you’re doing okay but want to be even healthier.
Whatever your motivation, there are things you can do to be healthier and happier this year and beyond. If you’re ready to find out what things to try, continue reading for three recommendations.
1. IV Hydration Therapy
If you think that IV hydration therapy is something reserved for sick people on hospital beds, think again. IV hydration therapy is a way to administer medication, minerals, and vitamins intravenously. Since it goes directly into your bloodstream and bypasses your gastric system, you’ll feel the benefits relatively fast. Depending on what you’re experiencing, the service provider will add different things to the IV fluids. So, if you want help losing weight, boosting energy levels, and easing anxiety, give IV hydration therapy a try. It might be just what the doctor ordered.
2. Get Enough Sleep
If you’re an adult, you should strive for at least seven or eight hours of sleep per night. A lack of sleep is associated with various health problems like a heightened risk of hypertension, depression, diabetes, stroke, and obesity. So, it’s in your best interests to get into the habit of enjoying quality sleep every night. And, yes, you need quality sleep. You need uninterrupted sleep to derive all the benefits of a good night’s sleep. If you’re getting up frequently in the middle of the night to use the bathroom or do other things, you’re not getting quality sleep.
Are you getting sufficient sleep every night? If not, make it a point to start doing so. Ensure the temperature in your bedroom is comfortable, go to bed the same time every night, and avoid distractions that might keep you up when you should be getting some shut-eye.
3. Exercise More
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) suggests that Americans shoot for at least two and a half hours to five hours weekly of moderate physical activity, one hour and 15 minutes to two and a half hours weekly of vigorous physical activity, or an equal mix of both.
Are you getting enough exercise every day? If not, one way you can get healthier is by exercising. You don’t need a gym membership to get the physical activity you need. But it won’t hurt if you do go this route. Not everyone wants to equip their home with a bunch of exercise equipment — and not everyone has the space for such equipment anyway.
Whether you like to work out at home or at the gym, you can use an exercise bike, treadmill, or elliptical machine to burn off the fat, stay fit, and have fun while doing so. If you don’t have exercise equipment and don’t want to go to a gym, you might want to go out for a brisk walk several times a week. Do you need extra motivation to exercise regularly? Make a pact with friends to exercise together one or more times a week. It’ll instill accountability in each of you.
Are you ready to make some changes for your health? If so, there’s no better time to start than now. A few simple changes could make all the difference and help you to live a healthier and happier life. All it’ll take is a plan and some dedication to make changes and stick with them. But it’ll all be worth it when you start to experience a level of health you never thought possible.
