In the world of hair replacement, there are many faithful head wearers who wear custom headpieces. One thing many people may not know is that what you buy as a custom hairpiece is actually just a stock hairpiece. Often, hair replacement companies sell “custom hair” to their customers, and then take hair pieces from their inventory and modify them to customer specifications.
Now, I have no problem doing this at all. In fact, if you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. The only thing wrong with this picture is that consumers are being misled by hair replacement companies into believing that customers are selling men’s toupee. But that’s not true.
What does this mean? If you’re in doubt whether a custom hairpiece is really custom made, you’re probably right. This practice is rampant in the industry and, unfortunately, many loyal customers are unwittingly deceived.
When buying custom pieces, custom pieces are there for a reason. Most people fit a basic head well and don’t need the extra cost for a custom head piece. Consumers need mens custom hair pieces because they have an unusual head size, need an unusual color, use an unusual basic structure, or have an unusual type of hair. If any of the above apply, consumers really need a custom hairpiece, and that’s why it’s even more important that the hairpiece is actually custom made.
If a hair replacement company simply modifies a head piece for a customer who needs a custom fit, the chances that the head piece will not match 100% increase significantly. When a customer orders a custom hairpiece, it must always be 100% perfect and 100% natural. That’s the point of ordering a custom piece. While many fit perfectly into stock hairpieces, others are willing to make small concessions for a lower price and the convenience of ordering stock.
A custom piece means that the consumer pays full price for a custom made hair piece, and under no circumstances has to compromise on the look or comfort of the hair piece. Unfortunately, many unscrupulous hair replacement companies simply don’t care much about the satisfaction of one individual customer and are willing to sacrifice quality to save money.
On the good side, of course, there are many hair replacement companies that offer 100% custom hair pieces and don’t disguise stock hair as custom hair.
Sometimes it can be difficult to tell the difference, but there are a few things consumers should be aware of. The most important thing is to find a customer satisfaction policy when buy men’s lace wig. If your hair replacement company doesn’t want to make sure that your custom hair is 100% accurate, doing business with that company is not in your best interest. Production time is another factor. It always takes 4-6 weeks for a custom hairpiece to be produced. If the production time is much shorter than that, it should be a red flag.
